Current extension
The extension scans the active page for media playlists and direct video files. It uses the page address, detected media addresses, metadata, and transfer status to show results and perform a download you start. Downloaded video is saved to your computer.
The extension can store temporary job details and preferences such as language in Chrome extension storage. Reports are sent only when you press Send report (see below). The extension never uploads media, cookies, or encryption keys.
Reports you choose to send
From version 0.2.33 the Report page can send a report to our server (Supabase) when you press Send report, or save it as a file. A report can contain the page title and address, stream information, error messages, transfer statistics, your extension version, a random installation ID, your optional note and optional email, and your account ID if you are signed in. Sensitive URL parts are removed or masked. Nothing is sent unless you press Send.
Sent reports are used only to investigate and fix problems, are visible only to the KepVideo team, and are deleted automatically after 90 days. If you leave an email, we may use it to reply about your report or to send you a thank-you gift.
Anonymous usage counts
From version 0.2.34, after a file is saved the extension sends one count to our server: a random installation ID created by the extension and the extension version. It does not send the video address, site name, page title, file name, your account or your IP address to our database. We use these counts only to see how many downloads and installations are active. You can turn this off at any time with Send anonymous usage stats on the download page; it is on by default. Counts are deleted after 400 days.

This site has an account page for sign-in (Supabase Auth) but no payment checkout or analytics script. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request data needed to deliver the pages. This preview does not provide a product account.
Future services
Premium sign-in, payments, quotas, and server-side reports are plans, not current features. Before those services go live, this notice must be updated with the operator's identity, contact method, data retention, service providers, and account rights.
